Veganuary - Food for thought

MY VEGANUARY CHALLENGE: FOOD FOR THOUGHT The Veganuary Challenge has always appealed to me because: 1.       It’s a challenge and I am competitive, so why not make the longest month of the year even more miserable by saying no to most of the food groups? I’m proving a point to my social media friends that I am better than them. (And at least I’m not doing the sober thing. Those people are losers). 2.       After stuffing my head over the festive period with as much beige food as humanly possible, my colon needed a break. I heard vegans go to the loo at least twelve times a day. 3.       It helps you lose weight, apparently. I’ve been on a diet for over a decade now so thought, ‘great, let’s see if vegans really are the malnourished and angry people we’ve all come to loathe.’ Even if I no longer have friends at the end of January, at least I’ll fit back into my jeans.   So, full disclosure: before Veganuary, I lived happily enough as a pescetarian, which for those w
